According to threespeach (the SCEE blog) it'll be released tomorrow, and lists the features it includes. It actually doesn't include much.

Although SCEA gave Fanboys exclusive, SCEE gave it to 3speech and they beat the Fanboys to the punch. Fanboys are claiming that is all 3speech will be getting, and that they will post more pics and info as the day goes by. Anywho, yeah it doesn't seem to include much.

On a other note, a new portal for the PlayStation Network, ostensibly, so we can assume IGN and Sony have partnered up to develop some sort of exclusive news site. The format has some stuff up, but most text is in the default pseudo-Latin text. Basically, the site isn't ready it. If our intuition tells us anything, this site will probably be "ready" when the elusive firmware 2.00 is also "ready". Since this site is pretty far along, who knows. Could be soon.

Wow. I thought Sony was gettin gtoo lazy to do cool things. Now the only thing that I'm waiting for is PSHome new. All I want is news because I know that it will still be a while before it comes out but I at least want to know some details so I can at least dream about it....

Ehh..nothing about 2.0 really impresses me. The air brush theme is pretty cool, but I would prefer a different theme. So this update seems like another stepping stone full of potential to what the XMB will truly be. I am not disappointed, but I was hoping for more. Maybe, just too soon.

so is this like an automatic update to the ps3? i mean when i turn on my ps3 and go online, will it prompt me to download 2.0 or do i have to go to ps3 store?

Yeah, its an automatic update. You'll be prompt to DL when you turn on your PS3.

Well now that I have installed the update and used it a little bit I must say that I was was hoping for more features. I really like the color select for the backround. I really hope that more features will be added in the near future.

As for that Warhawk problem, I don't know yet because I havn't played it since the update. I'll check it out later.

I'm OK. Warhawk is fine. I couldn't get into the PSN store for a bit, but retried a few times and got. I think because so many people are downloading Drakes' Fortune. The file is 1.2 gig, and mine downloading is going.....very....sllloooowwwwwwwwwww.

I tried getting into the PSN store for about half an hour. I got in 3 times, but trying to get into the page to download drakes fortune I got timed out and have to leave the store. I tried getting into warhawk then, and the PSN wouldn't initiallize, so I couldn't play. Went and got some food, came back, and now I can get into the store and am downloading Drakes Fortune. 30% done, but it's been a while.

Yeah I got in the store. I'm going to download that demo later. I downloaded the cool themes and tried them out. It sucks that there's only 3 themes on the store and one of them is a gay pink one. I hope they come out with some cooler ones soon! I just wish there are some new featuresw added in some new updates soon because I'm getting pissed that you can't password protect your username or access the XMB during gameplay. Those are two things that I want to see SOON. Well I'm off to go to my friends where we will be watching NBC's comedy night done right. I think this will be the last Thursday night with new shows because of the writers strike. Then it's reruns untils that writers get what they want. I hope it's resolved soon!

Mosespippy, I started my download before you and I'm only at 28% completed.

I'm 94% done now. It'll have been about 2 hours by the time I'm complete.

Yeah, you'll see plenty of new themes for the PS3 shortly. I've read somewhere, can't remember, that you will be able to create a theme on your PC and upload them to the PS3, even share them with your friends.

I have no idea how long it took for me to download the whole Drake's Fortune demo. A long ass time is all I know. After 3 hours it was at 44%, and I just went to bed afterwards. BTW, I do have cable internet. Why is it always that slow?? The file was pretty large..hrmp

Can't you host 24 player? I can only host 8. One problem with cable is that the connection is shared with your neighbours that have cable, so the more people that are on the slower it is. I don't have that problem with DSL. The demo was awesome. I ran out of ammo, and some guy with an AK tried to flank me, I jumped on his back and snapped his neck, grabbed his gun (I think before it even hit the ground) and shot the other guy charging at me in the face.

i had the same problem, could'nt log on ps store for a while, but eventualy was able to after multiple tries. but other than that everything normal, i like all the new stuff that has been added w/2.0,

Yeah, I can host a 24 player match in Warhawk. I do live an apartment complex with 3 other buildings in the vicinity all owned by the same property management. Each building has 12 units, so I guess that might be why I'm running slow. Drake's demo sounds awesome, and the full version is to be released in a couple of weeks. From lack of games to getting flooded with great titles...ohhh the hard choices I have to make.

I downloaded Drake's Fortune last night at around 10:00. It only took me about 20 or 30 minutes. My PS3 is hardwired to the router and I got a Comcast high-speed connection so I con download stuff really fast. I haven't gotton around to installing it and playing it yet but it sounds reallly good.

The whole themes thing on PS3 sounds really exciting. I checked out a bunch of PSP themes and I hope you will be ably to create your own PS3 themes just as freely. Oh yeah, I am planning on picking up COD4 tomorrow!! I'm really excited!
